There has been an ad in that spot for the Google Nexus one phone for the last three weeks. It is toying with me.

I currently own a G1 Andriod phone and I'm certain that it is reaching the end of its glorious lifespan. I have things I love about this phone and things I hate.

I love the constant connection to Google. My life currently depends on a lot of Google services and this phone connects to all of them and does the job I need it to do.

I love the apps. They have made my phone into a tiny computer that can do a lot of my work without having to turn on my main machine.

I hate that when I send emails, there is a draft saved on the phone each and everytime. And the messages take 15-30 minutes to send sometimes, and other times they claim to have been sent, but they do not get sent at all.

I hate the battery life. I'm charging my phone from empty to max twice daily. I don't use it that much during the day and it still dwindles down to the dreaded 15% mark.

I hate that there is no 3.5mm jack on this phone. Well, there is a nice adapter that plugs into the port at the bottom which then allows me to plug in headphones, but there are times where I need my phone to charge and play music at the same time, and that is impossible on this phone.

So please Google, send me a Nexus one so that I can get rid of the hates and replace them with loves.

If it means anything to you, both my wife and I have had G1's and we just updated her phone to a MyTouch 3G. Our phone budget is expired now though. :(

Now, I for one am glad that technology has arrived that can allow for such things to be done, but I have a huge gripe loading up inside of me that I need to get out before I get up in the middle of the next Batman movie and scream out, "This is complete bulls--t!"

As with the new  "Alice in Wonderland" movie, the hype is that is in 3D. So, I to not go and see the 3D version. First off, they do not accommodate the 3D glasses for people who already wear glasses. Secondly, the blurriness of 3D movies just makes my head hurt so badly. Lastly, the movie always seems to have 10 - 15 minutes of purely pointless animation or cinematography that is just for the amusement of the 3D technology. I'm just so afraid that movies will start being developed and skewed on the idea that it will be in 3D. I'm not looking forward to "Beverly Hills Chihuahua: Lost in Space 2: 3D - Attack of the wiener dogs that fly right at your face for 45 minutes of the movie just so people can call them cute and say aww."

A message to all 3D movies: Yes, its cool that you can do it, but it doesn't mean that you should. Stay in kids films, that is the marketing strategy to pull them in. Stay out of my movies, "Alice in Wonderland" included. Thank you.

Turn off brain and play video games.
Write blog post.
Say goodnight.
Fall asleep wishing that you could have another weekend day.

Air Control - a fun game to pass the time
Ak notepad - a great notepad apps
Ak47 - great for when I am driving
Alarm clock - my enemy
Amazon MP3 - I never use it and can't delete it
App manager - for deleting and backing up my apps
Backgrounds - useful to download new backgrounds for the home screen
Barcode scanner - good for checking prices while out shopping
Browser - main internet browser
Calculator - self explainatory
Calendar - great google calendar app
Camcorder - for taking crappy mobile vids
Camera - for taking crappy mobile pics
Color flashlight - in case I need to see in the dark, with color
Contacts - main contact storage
Dialer - a simple dialer
Dumb and Dumber soundboard - very useful for boredom
Email - useful email client
Fartdroid - great farting app for public locations
Flashlight - for finding my way in the dark. Also a great locator for when you go to concerts.
FMyLife - app for the website fmylife.com
Funny jokes - jokes that are kinda funny
Fx Camera - great effects for the standard camera
Gallery - image and video viewer
Gmail - gmail app
Google goggles - take a pic, scan, google search. Pretty clunky though.
Google talk - great google talk mobile app
Handcent sms - an awesome replacement for the standard sms app
Iheartradio - listen to the radio
Im - for all other chat services, never used though
Mabilo Ringtones - great for downloading free ringtones to your phone
Maps - google maps app. With turn by turn navigation.

Ruger SR9 - also great for driving

Shazam - tag music and find song titles and artists by having this listen to your radio
Shopsavvy - compare prices online and in surroundong stores by scanning the upc code

5,000,000,000 tweets just in the last 5 months. Of course I tried for the 10 billionth tweet, but most likely failed. I did however get a pretty close screen shot of the ten billionth tweet. That number was rolling along pretty fast.

I had written up a post on my phone and planned on fixing it up when I got home from work. All that was waiting at home for me though was a buttload of more work and by thhe time I had any free time, it was time for bed. So here is post #1 and I'll have another "better" one for March 2nd up a bit later on.

Time to get serious about managing my work. This schedule that I am currently on is going to wear me down faster than playing games all day on my phone's short battery life.

A blog post every day for the next year.

This project will commence on Monday, March 1st 2010 and will continue through Tuesday, March 1st 2011. The postings may be text, pictures, videos, games, or polls. I will have to stuck to guidelines though. There must always be at least 2-4 sentences within each posting, regardless of accompanying content. The blog post title will always be related to the content, but will have a number to associate the count of days.  ie "Day 27"  This will also help mark the progression.

The majority of the time, I will be updating my blog from my mobile phone using Wordpress for Android.

This will not only be a view into my life, but it is also going to be a marketing/social experiment.

So check back here on March 1st for the first day.
